grandparenting

“Smart Financial Grandparenting” introduces you all to the emerging changes in this financial world, where investing has become more and more simplified due to rapid technological advancements and product developments. Beyond investing however , there is a glaring gap when it comes to financial parenting and grandparenting, despite the fact that our parents and grandparents possess a perspective on life that young generations cannot understand from reading only. We, as young folks, are not equipped to understand or advise others on this topic of concern, until we have lived many years raising children, suffering from losses, paying tuition fees and other expenses, and also meeting graduation outlays of our children as well.
Our grandparents have also faced the realities of ageing while celebrating different milestones, but they possess a unique perspective on money and life, which we can’t understand without their input on what is important to them . For sharing knowledge across generations, I personally encourage open dialogue and knowledge-sharing between the generations. And this is the reason, I have come up with this idea to write a book through which both generations can easily navigate through the modem financial realities.
To make significant financial moves, sometimes, we need to address our past approaches to make future different decisions. Grandparents always make decisions while considering the later stages of life. Older generations care less about the rate of return and more about legacy planning. According to them, passing on accumulated wealth from generations to generations holds a paramount importance in today’s fast• paced world.
